TRU Contracts, Shrewsbury

Description

Just MCP completed a full commercial unit fit-out for TRU Contracts in Shrewsbury, combining mezzanine installation, fire protection, internal partitioning, flooring and welfare facilities. The works were designed to create a practical, compliant and better-structured workspace, with multiple specialist elements delivered as part of one coordinated project.

Mezzanine floor

A 90.09m2 mezzanine floor was supplied and installed, measuring 11.75m by 7.67m with a deck height of 3200mm and underside height of 2908mm. The floor included 38mm P6 C Grade HDPB decking, a RAL 7024 grey gloss paint finish and a Part K staircase with single landing and 1.2m treads.

Fire protection works included 9 one-hour fire rated column cases in white, 90m2 of one-hour fire rated ceiling to the ground flo

or, 90m2 to the first floor and 180m2 of MF ceiling using two layers of 15mm Fireline boards.

Partitioning and wall construction

The project included extensive jumbo wall and stud wall works, including a 235m2 jumbo fire wall, a further 226m2 jumbo wall around the mezzanine edge and lift area, drylining to external walls across the ground and first floor, and multiple internal stud wall types finished with tape, fill and white emulsion.

Doors, windows and finishes

Just MCP also installed window modulars with vinyl frosting, 11 single doors, one double door, contract carpet tiles, barrier matting, vinyl cap and cove safety flooring, a 3m kitchenette and Doc M toilet kits with associated plumbing provisions.
